Studio Sample album for Capitale, NY

Providing popular venues with a sample from your studio is a very wise idea. One such popular venue is called Capitale in New York city. It’s a stunningly opulent place for high end events that is in an old bank. Danny Weiss asked me to design a studio sample for him so that his name is in front of prospective brides! He likes to leave the cover material up to me….. we never just do ‘black’ for a venue sample – we want to stand out. Venue samples are designed way differently than an album for a wedding couple. The venue wants their unique offerings to shine...

Renaissance – Galleria Design

I have designed many Renaissance Soho and Fine Art albums… but today I’m excited to share the first Galleria design I’ve worked on – and just ordered today for Danny Weiss Photo in New York.  The Renaissance Galleria album is unique because it is a combination matt + flush album.  This is a similar theory to the Leather Craftsmen Signature 8500 / 7500 line or the Queensberry Duo line, or Finao/Seldex’s Bookbound Art series.  Each company will have their own unique construction and pros-cons to this combo type album of course so please look at their websites if...

Studio Sample for Grand Opening – Cory Ryan Photography

Cory Ryan of Cory Ryan Photography in Austin, TX told me that she needed a fabulous studio sample for her new studio’s grand opening in just a few weeks time! I’ve worked with Cory before and I was so happy to help out as she has the most vibrant and fun images, and she has the personality and energy to match. She wanted something bold, simple, colorful with a little hint of organic feel to it. Forgetting what her logo was like, my instincts kicked in and included some asymmetrical rounded corners into the design. Combined very vibrant color blocks, some nice clean white negative...
