Pantone has announced it’s color of 2017: Greenery 15-0343 (Hex#93b658) ! Pantone’s Executive Director says: “Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous social and political environment. Albums for kids & families – an ordinary day made extraordinary

Today I was sitting with Malia looking through her memory box from when she was a baby. In it was a book I designed for her first year – she giggled and was asking about each image about the baby that she does not remember. As she gets older, the more treasured those images become as well as the joy in looking at them and remembering. Sure there are some big firsts in there…. but most of the images are truly average day to day things – like spinach all over her face or playing with her toys or just making bubbles and smiles. Albums that capture important coming of age milestones

High-end parties are not just limited to wedding receptions.  I have seen some stellar bar & bat mitzvah parties when designing albums that I hear – can sometimes be on par – or better – compared to wedding photography rates. These parties are crazy, chaotic, fun, busy – creating albums full of people pictures from start to finish. The albums resulting can get jam-packed fast if you’re not careful. HappyFish Designs a Samoan Surfing Adventure Story

My first project with photographer Sean Slavin of California was soooooooo fun – when he asked if I would be interested in designing an LC3500 featuring his Samoan Surfing adventure … I said YEEEEEES !!! Send it over NOW! 😀 The really interesting aspect of designing this album was that Sean is not only an incredible photographer (he shoots weddings AND surfing photography), but he is a r e a l l y good writer! He wrote a daily journal style monologue about each day in Samoa. I integrated the text with the photos from the day into a vibrant story that he will have fun sharing...
