Vector Logo illustration for E1

I was asked if I could help edit/create a logo for a group of Texas A&M University Galveston Maritime Academy engineering majors.  One of them is the son of a beloved photographer client of mine so of course I wanted to do anything I could to help them out! A friend of theirs drew the eagle and then they painted it – and hung it on their wall.  They wanted to add crossed wrenches and a marine propeller to it. All they had was a photo of the wall painting of an eagle with their name E1. They wanted to use it in print and knew that they needed a proper vector logo created. It...

Logo for Mark Shangraw Portrait Art

Mark Shangraw was looking for a new logo as he was restructuring his photography business – something more boutique, more hand crafted. After listening to the goals for this new venture I knew that they needed something with his ‘hand’ in it. Perhaps an Ironman marathon will be in their future one day! One such design request was to design an Ironman tattoo for one of my clients who is of course – an amazing Photographer/Ironman himself.  To be fair, he did get a tattoo in the end after much waffling….. but I have NOT seen...

Logo Updating

Logos can need updating over the years……. everything dates. Huge companies do this and so can you. The key is to remain true to your original foundation but in a fresh way. Photographer Jon Tanberg was happy and liked the logo he had, however he felt that he needed to revamp the file, make it more modern, make it a vector file that can rescale cleanly rather than the bitmap original he had.  He wanted to keep the complete tripod potentially as well. I sketched, researched and fiddled a little bit until we arrived at this revised logo option. Wanted to change the font to...
