High School Senior Album Design

Here are a few pages from Shana’s senior album that I designed for Mark Shangraw Portrait Art the other day. His studio prefers a design style that is layered with different textured backgrounds – no white backgrounds.  Shana is the sibling of a book that I designed years ago! Congratulations on your upcoming graduation! The launching of a young adult is such an impactful time for families with a lifetime of raising and school years they are about to leave the nest and possibly go away to college. The senior has their own unique sense of self with boundless visions of their new...

High School Senior Album Design

Here’s a fun and colorful album that I designed for Carey Anne Photography for her client Samantha. The murals are SUCH fun in this shoot!! They really emphasize the senior’s artistic personality in a huge way.  I’ve said this before……. but Carey Anne is awesome. She makes the most amazing videos of her clients during their sessions. If I was her client’s mom I would be a weepy mess and ready to purchase every product offered! 🙂 I just love designing albums for High School Seniors. I could go on and on about why……… and have.  I wrote...

Products in demand for High School Grad Season

Photographers are experiencing a huge increase in sales in the high school seniors market. Graduating from high school is one of the biggest milestones that a family will celebrate together. The years between birth and high school with all of the stages and memories in between are what make our life together so special.  This can be a very emotional time obviously and parents are wishing to capture their graduate on the cusp of adulthood and the many new adventures that their teen will be diving into shortly.  The products both immortalize and celebrate.  Sales are great because often both...

Circus Themed First Birthday Party

What a fun party this little guy had – a circus theme!  Designed this unique super fun book for Chanel Parrott Apsey of Your Reflection My Style.  I think it was the first circus theme book I’ve done… and amazingly enough, Chanel told me she had shot three circus parties that year !! Love it! The design employs the use of textured bold colored backgrounds that match the decor, a bold carnival themed font on the cover (probably the ONLY time I  have ever sought out a font like this !! 😉 ) and a few swirly carnival elements in spots.  My goal was to NOT overpower the...

High School Senior albums share a personal story

This is a fun Senior album that I really enjoyed working on for Carey’s clients of Carey Anne Photography.  The props were bold, the Senior had a vibrant personality – but what was really special was that she had a chance to share memories and thoughts about herself at this unique stage in her life.  As Carey wrote on her blog: “Pausing to read her quotes about the beautiful young woman she’s become, you quickly realize she’s not just a high school senior. She has a history, a past, a story. She’s a student, a marching band member, a daughter, a sister, a...
